Potahto is the business of Jemma Martin, a sole trader based in Adelaide, South Australia (ABN 22 627 470 933). Your privacy matters to me. This policy sets out what personal information I collect through potahto.com.au, why I collect it and how I look after it, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What I collect
When you start a conversation. Your name, email address, business or organisation (if you share it), your message, and the option you choose about what would be most useful.

Technical information. Like most websites, the services that host this site automatically record basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and I don't use this information to identify you.
I only collect what I need, and I collect it directly from you.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk through whether I can help.
- To send you updates, if you've asked to receive them.
- To keep simple records of who I've been in contact with.
I will never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Email updates
You'll only receive email updates if you've asked for them through Curious about Potahto? Starting a conversation does not add you to my mailing list.
Every email includes a link to unsubscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time. My emails follow the Spam Act 2003 (Cth): they're sent with your consent, they clearly identify me as the sender, and they always give you an easy way to opt out.
Emails come from Potahto. Over time they may include news about new work or offerings from Potahto. Your details are never shared with, or added to, any other business's mailing list.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and to communicate with you:
- Netlify: hosts this website.
- Web3Forms: delivers Start a conversation messages to my inbox.
- Mailchimp (Intuit): stores my mailing list and sends email updates.
- Google: provides my email and the fonts used on this site.
These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. I choose reputable providers with established security and privacy practices. I don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires me to.
Storage and security
Your information is kept in password-protected accounts that only I can access. I keep enquiry details for as long as they're needed to respond and keep reasonable business records, generally no longer than two years after we were last in touch. I keep mailing list details until you unsubscribe.
No online system is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, at any time. Just email me and I'll respond within 30 days.
